After posting an image to Instagram, a copy of it is stored on the phone by default. However, some of these copies went corrupted from time to time, even when I have changed my phones throughout the years.
When looking closely, some images have just glitches, but some others contain fragments of the other photo in the same multi-images post. If images are fragments of reality, then maybe these corrupted copies are like our memories, fragmented and sometimes corrupted.
Therefore, this is an ongoing project to document these randomly corrupted images, and also memories, that were made possible by the Instagram app.
